Vivix and Colitis and Diverticulitis

February of 2008 I was diagnosed with Colitis and Diverticulitis, but tests also showed a possibility of Crohn’s Disease.

I was on various medications throughout 2008 and 2009 with nothing really helping. Then one day in late January of 2010 my Shaklee Distributor called and talked to me about Vivix and offered to send more information along with testimonials.  After reading the material, I ordered Vivix and after a month thought it wasn’t going to help me, but I remembered my Shaklee distributor saying to try it at least for two months.

I started taking Vivix in February and after two months I could see improvement and by three months I was symptom free and I still am!

Before taking Vivix, I had diarrhea, bloody stools, and mucus discharge to the point I didn’t leave the house but for a short time.  I was basically living on toast and yogurt and drinking only water.  I had no energy.  Now I watch my diet but I can eat most things, and I still drink mostly water, but occasionally have tea or a soda.  I am now able to do my regular activities. Vivix and Alzheimer’s

This is Elsie. She was diagnosed with the beginning of the worst stage of Alzheimer’s. Bed-ridden, incontinent, she seldom recognized family, and was fed, bathed, and dressed with assistance. Doctors put her on medications, however, they made her violently ill, so the family decided to take her off the medication and put her on Vivix and some additional Shaklee supplements.

After a few months, Elsie began to recognize her family, started walking again, bathing herself, cleaned her house, and sang songs with her grandchildren again. A truly remarkable story!

Vivix Lowers Blood Sugar Levels and A1C Scores

Following my first preventive blood work up in May, 2008, I found out that I was close to being pre-diabetic when I had my first consultation with Dr. Sandy on 6-25-08.  She gave me several suggestions for lowering my glucose and hemoglobin A1C levels.  I immediately implemented Dr. Sandy’s advice regarding the proper foods to eat and the supplements to take.  On my follow-up appointment with Dr. Sandy three months later on 9-26-08, my blood work up for my glucose and hemoglobin A1C levels were in the normal range.

The glucose levels had dropped from 114 to 88, and the hemoglobin A1C levels had dropped from 6.0 to 5.6.

Thank goodness I did the preventive blood test, scheduled a consultation meeting with Dr. Sandy, and started taking Vivix on 8-8-08!  Diabetes is definitely not a disease that I wish to deal with in the future.  — Judy Dubiel

Vivix and Basal Cell Cancer and Diabetes

In October of 2007, I was diagnosed with a Basel Cell Carcinoma (skin cancer) on my left shin. The Dermatologist cut and scraped it out and asked to see me again in 6 months. In July of 2008, the lesion had not healed and appeared to be even larger. We scheduled a surgical procedure to remove the entire lesion including going as deep as needed and excising healthy skin all the way around (about the size of a quarter). In August, I began using VIVIX. 4 weeks later, I went for the surgery and the cancer was essentially gone! I’ve been a dedicated Shaklee nutrition user for many years, and VIVIX was the only difference in my supplement program.

Ed has been diabetic for many years and on insulin for a number of them. He has struggled for a long time to get his A1C levels below 7 (these levels are measured every 6 months and are more important than the daily sugar levels to determine how well you are managing your disease). After 4 weeks on VIVIX, his regular check-up indicated his A1C levels have dropped from 7.2 to 6.6. We’re expecting even better results at the next check up! — Ann & Ed Mangelsen

Vivix and Diabetes Neuropathy

I have been diabetic since 1996.  I have neuropathy in my legs and feet.  On the days at work when I have to be on my feet for 5 hours or more, I would leave here limping because my feet were so swollen I could barely walk.  I would have to go home and elevate my feet and legs for an hour or two just to be able to function in the evening.  I started taking VIVIX in 2008 and within about 3-4 months I noticed that when I left work – I did not have to go straight home – I could go grocery shopping or run errands and the pain and swelling was no longer in my feet.  I can’t say that the VIVIX gave me more energy per se, but rather I describe it as more endurance.  I won’t go a day without it!   — Mike F.   July 2010, CT  

Vivix and Migraines

My name is Gayle McBurney, and thanks to VIVIX I have my life back.  All my life I have had migraines.  I never knew when they would happen, but when they did my day was gone …. days too numerous to mention curled up in bed with the curtains drawn (the darker the better), no radio and no noise of any kind, a bucket beside my bed, and a cold compress to help ease the pain.  The next day, when my migraine finally subsided, I felt like I had been hit by a truck.  My head would still hurt where the pain was.  I visited my family doctor to see if she could help me so I could function, as the headaches were starting to interfere with my job.  She gave me a prescription for medication that, if I didn’t have a drug plan, I would not be able to afford.  The medication helped my headaches, providing I took them at the onset of a migraine.  Needless to say, I carried the medication with me everywhere I went.  My brother introduced me to Shaklee’s VIVIX, and I started taking it on a regular basis, not knowing that it would affect my life in such a dramatic way.  I have not had a headache or a migraine in over three months.  I can’t even begin to tell you what life is like without a headache … something I have never experienced before, and it’s great!  Thank you VIVIX, thank you Shaklee, and thank you brother!

Vivix and High PSA Scores

On 8-15-08, my PSA levels were 4.9, and they jumped up to 9.1 on 9-18-08.  After I consulted with my sister, who is a Shaklee distributor, I added the following Shaklee supplements to my daily routine of taking Shaklee’s Energizing Soy Protein and Vitalizer – VIVIX, NutriFeron, Saw Palmetto, and Immunity Formula I to boost up my immune system. On 9-26-08, the blood tests showed a drop in my PSA levels to 6.9, which the nurse said was highly unusual.

In fact, my PSA scores dropped down from a high of 9.1 on September 18th to a low of 3.4 in just 6 weeks! Plus, my free PSA scores of 28.8% showed the highest score I have ever received since I started having prostate problems in 2005. As I started VIVIX on 9-12-08, my doctor was amazed at these rapid changes in my PSA scores. He said that “something was going on,” and I told him what changes I had made and the benefits of Shaklee’s supplements and VIVIX!   Now, he doesn’t want to see me for another 6 months! Plus, he said that the chance of this being cancer is under 5% whereas a month ago he said that it was around 20%.

In addition to the changes in my PSA scores, I am noticing an improvement in my vision. Plus, I do a lot of climbing on ladders for my work, and the pain in my knees has lessened as well. So, once again, Shaklee has risen to the occasion and made a huge difference in my health! So thank you Shaklee for creating VIVIX and all your other great health-improving products!

Vivix and Hearing Improved at Age 80

Today I went in for my yearly hearing aid check up at the audiologist.  He said that it has been a number of years since I had a hearing test and this is especially important considering my age.  After the tests were completed, he compared the results today with the previous tests.  He said he didn’t understand why the results of today’s testing were so out of line with my previous tests.  Then he showed me the comparison.  He said my tests today showed my hearing to be ABOVE the “normal” line whereas my previous tests showed all my scores to be way BELOW the “normal” range.  He said this can’t be because no one has ever had this much improvement in their hearing in all the years he has been in this business.  He said that something isn’t right, no one has this dramatic improvement in hearing and especially considering your age.

Then I told him that I felt sure I had the explanation for the improvement – it’s Vivix.  Then I briefly told him what this product is and the testimonials Shaklee has received of vastly improved health because of this product.  That it is so unique Shaklee has applied for patents.  I asked him if he’d like for me to drop off information and science about this product.  He said “yes.”  — Shirley Davis  

Vivix and Child with Brain Cancer

I spoke with Megan’s dad yesterday, and he told me that it was one year ago to the day, November 19, 2007 that they received the news that Megan, age 7, had brain cancer and her prognosis wasn’t good. So the journey began with the poking, prodding, chemotherapy, bedside vigils, etc. They were introduced to Shaklee, and they started little Megan on NutriFeron and Children’s Vita Lea. She began to show some improvement. However, Todd told me that the real tipping point came in August with the introduction of Vivix; they began the daily Vivix, 1 tsp per day. Megan has shown remarkable progress ever since.  The neurosurgeons at the Mayo Clinic told her parents that the type of tumor that Megan has DOES not shrink, not with chemo treatment. They were in disbelief when Megan’s tumor was almost undetectable. Todd totally attributes her amazing progress to prayers, which are so powerful, but also to Shaklee’s Vivix along with the NutriFeron and vitamins.

Vivix and Cancer

This year has been a journey for our family. I look back and see many blessings despite hospital stays and doctor visits from April through September. On April 4th, my husband Ron had a small tumor removed from his rectum which came back positive for cancer. More tests were ordered, and during those tests, an abdominal aneurysm was found. On June 18, he had the surgery to repair the aneurysm prior to having the rectal surgery for the colostomy. In mid-August, we met with the colo-rectal surgeon who indicated that the pathology report showed the tumor had invaded the rectal muscle and the margins were questionable. Their recommendation was to have the colostomy to be sure the cancer was completely removed, however, we had the option of first having a biopsy of the area where the tumor had been removed. On September 16th, the doctor called telling Ron that there were no cancer cells in the biopsy. Ron had not been using any Shaklee supplements. With the first pathology report in April, I set NutriFeron on the kitchen table and explained the product, telling Ron he should start taking six a day. I also gave him Optiflora, CarotoMax, and VitaLea Gold with his prescription medications. In August, we started using Vivix daily. At the time of the biopsy in September, Ron had been taking the supplements since April and on Vivix for six weeks.

Where did the cancer go?  The surgeons cannot explain it. It was there, but it is gone. I think back to Dr. Shaklee saying “Give the body what it needs and it will heal itself.” This has been my prayer since last April. Ron questions “Was it the Vivix?” but continues to ask for the Vivix every morning, and he faithfully takes the NutriFeron and the other supplements. I thank God and Shaklee that the cancer is gone. Vivix and Fractured Cartilage and Bone Scan

Ruthie, a retired RN and great grandmother, writes: My knee is totally fine now, and I have energy again. And that is without surgery! An MRI had confirmed that I had fractured cartilage on both sides of my knee. After a week on Vivix, I didn’t need to use the cane anymore and each month my knee improved. Now it’s as if I never fractured the cartilage at all! I am even back walking and using the rebounder. Along with the Vivix, I started taking Shaklee’s Glucosamine (Joint Health Complex).

Another great thing: I recently got a bone scan that showed an improvement over my results of 4 years ago which were in the very low normal range. The results this time showed that I was up into the middle normal range! The only difference since then is taking Shaklee Vitalizer, Vivix, and Joint Health Complex. Vivix and Parkinson’s Disease

In 2003, Chuck was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease – a progressive neurological disorder with no known cure.  Chuck is 78 and has been on various Shaklee supplements since 2001, however, we have seen the most change since starting Vivix in August, 2008. The improvements became noticeable within 2 months of starting Vivix. Before Vivix, our goal was to keep him as healthy as possible so his body only needed to deal with Parkinson’s. Since Vivix, our goal has changed to improving his DNA and reduce his medications!

My report to you is that little things are happening. And it is the little things in life that mean the most! He’s back to:

1.    laughing, smiling and making jokes

2.    participating in conversations at family gatherings

3.    whistling and singing silly songs

4.    standing straighter when he hugs me

5.    he’s just more engaged in life

6.    and the best of all – when you look into his eyes, his lights are back on!

Vivix and Teenager’s Cancer and Heart Story

Hi Paula,  Your husband’s story about Parkinson’s and Vivix is fantastic! I too feel that Shaklee came to me for a reason.

My oldest son had Cancer in 2003 when he was 17; I was introduced to Shaklee in 2004. After his treatments of Chemo and radiation, his heart was damaged and only working on 3 muscles. The Doctors put him on medication to compensate for the damaged muscle and told him not to exert himself, lift heavy objects, or over-do things and get too run down. This was very hard for a 21-year-old when all his friends are out being very active.

I immediately put him on everything possible to strengthen his heart and build muscle. A few months went by, and he started having fainting spells so he went into emergency to get check out since he almost fainted at work. The doctor there looked up his history and saw the information about his heart and said he might have to have a pacemaker put in, but to come back in the morning for more testing. My son left there devastated that afternoon.

He went back in the next day for testing and the results were incredible. The reason he was having fainting spells was that the medication was too strong for a heart that is perfectly normal. His heart had been rebuilt and the dead muscle working again. Of course, the doctors couldn’t explain this because he was supposed to be on medication for the rest of his life.

Vivix and Dementia

I was diagnosed with early onset dementia 6 years ago at the age of 57. With the Shaklee products I take, the doctor said I was doing great. However, even though I was “doing great”, I had poor sleep, was a grizzly bear in the morning, not much energy during the day, and didn’t look forward to doing things! However, after Vivix, I have a new clarity that had been missing for a long time. I also have much more energy and sleep better and now get up in the morning – eager to get busy! Vivix and Blood Pressure and Cholesterol

My husband has been on VIVIX since September 2008, but he did not notice any particular changes. Then he went for his physical in January 2009. He has been taking blood pressure medication for the last 5 years. One year ago at the Doctor’s office his blood pressure was high (170 over 100). Last week, after being on Vivix, his BP was 124 over 80 at the Doctor’s office; at home his BP is anywhere from 124 over 70-80.

However, the best news is his cholesterol, which traditionally has been between 220-230 with a high LDL; last week his total cholesterol was 192, HDL 74, and LDL 102 … all good numbers. — Doris and Dave Moran

Vivix and COPD and Macular Degeneration

Roy, has been on VIVIX, Vitalizer, NutriFeron, extra OptiFlora, and Cinch a little over 4 months.  His lung capacity has increased to the point that he no longer needs supplemental oxygen, nor does he need a nebulizer. All that equipment has been removed from his home. His three Doctors have demanded to talk with me. Also, his macular degeneration has improved dramatically … he went from not being able to see anything out of one eye, and had to use magnification to see anything out of the other eye, to being able to see out of both eyes, able to read the TV screen, and read books in normal print. Vivix and Sinus Problems

I have been taking Shaklee supplements since 1986. One thing that has been a constant was sinus infections with taking antibiotics once yearly. After adding Vivix to my supplement regime, I can honestly say that the sinus symptoms are gone. I knew Vivix made a difference after spending the night at my sisters. She has cats, and I would normally be taking Claritin after the visit; however, I had no symptoms at all. Vivix is certainly worth a try if you suffer from sinus problems like I had in the past! — Karen M. Brown

Vivix and Atrial Fibrillation and Coumadin

Five years ago, I had a mitral valve replaced and also experienced atrial fibrillation and was put on Coumadin “for life” to prevent a stroke. Needless to say, I have not been happy about this.

I started Vivix August 16 and have taken it without interruption ever since. As people on Coumadin know, you have to have your blood checked on a regular basis – for me it was usually every 5-6 weeks. After 7 weeks on Vivix, my blood tested too thin. I need to be between 2.5 and 3.5. I tested at 4.1 (too thin). I was told to go home, have a salad (greens thicken your blood), and come back in two weeks to be checked. In two weeks, my blood again tested too thin. I really didn’t think too much about it until I went back again in two weeks and again tested too thin. This time my Coumadin was reduced, and I was thrilled. The only thing I was doing differently was the Vivix.  I told this to the Coumadin nurse and said I would bring her information on Vivix on my next visit. I went back in two weeks and my blood was still too thin and my Coumadin was reduced again. I gave the nurse my Vivix information, and she said she couldn’t understand how the Vivix was thinning my blood but “do not stop taking the Vivix.”

I am due to go in again Wednesday, Nov. 19, and hope for another reduction in my Coumadin.

Also, I faithfully take 3000 mg a day of Sustained Release Vita C, and I do not bruise like a lot of people who are on Coumadin.  — Kathleen Johnson

Vivix and Cataracts and Eyesight

This is PJ Myers, and for the past 4 years I have had the start of cataracts. The center of my lens on both eyes has been white. The optometrist has been keeping an eye on them. Two years ago I got back into Shaklee. The cataracts didn’t get any worse, but they didn’t get any better. However, in mid August 2008, I began taking Vivix regularly and just got back from the eye doctor November 7, 2008. He was shocked to see that my cataracts are GONE!! Also, my vision could only be corrected to 20-40 in 2005 and 2006. After joining Shaklee, it was correctible to 20-30. Since Vivix, it is now correctible to 20-25. And for the first time in 40 years, I did not need new glasses. My night vision is improving as well. I feel as if my eyes are getting “younger!”
