Who loves Apple Pie? Well it’s time to have pie for breakfast with this yummy recipe! Today I made it for the very first time and I will experiment with it a little but I can tell you it was delicious as is. I believe it will be a fabulous recipe to use for Freezer Smoothies and at upcoming Freezer Smoothie Workshops as I like my shakes good and cold with that frothy feel and I believe if you load all the ingredients less the milk into a freezer bag and store it in the freezer so you can just pull it out and toss in blender with your milk it would be delicious! I also will experiment with the spices as I followed the original recipe below this first time but I will also try it out with Epicure Apple Pie Spice that I have sitting in my drawer waiting for a great use. I love using some of my other Epicure spices in my shakes so I am sure the Apple Pie Spice will not disappoint.

Here is the recipe:
8 oz. Milk of choice
1 cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
2 scoops Vanilla Shaklee Life Energizing Shake
Ice as needed
Blend all ingredients together for 1 minute. ENJOY!
Put all ingredients above EXCEPT milk and ice, into a 1 quart freezer bag. Place in freezer until you are ready to make your smoothie.
Place the frozen contents of the freezer bag into the blender. Add 8 oz. of milk, ice as needed and blend. ENJOY!
